Story
Zohreh Shamaizadeh, a 33-year-old artist and voice actress from Isfahan, was killed on the evening of Friday, January 8, 2026 (19 Dey 1404 in the Persian calendar). She was shot in the throat by a live bullet fired by government suppression forces near Bozorgmehr Bridge in Isfahan.
Following her death, Zohreh's family embarked on a six-day search for her. They eventually located her body in the morgue of Ji Clinic. Security forces reportedly conditioned the release of her body on the family agreeing to declare the cause of death as heart failure. Zohreh was subsequently buried in plot 71 of Baghe Rezvan Cemetery in Isfahan.
Zohreh was single and lived with her father and her small dog. She had lost her mother in 1399 SH (2020-2021). She was a member of the "Glory" group, known for her artistic and voice acting talents.
