Story
Sonia Salehi Rad, a 34-year-old English language teacher and a resident of Shiraz, was a dedicated educator and a courageous individual. She was recognized as a hero of her homeland and became one of the victims of Iran's National Revolution, killed by the criminal Islamic Republic regime.
On January 9, 2026, Sonia Salehi Rad was directly shot in the head with live ammunition by the regime’s repressive forces in the Sadra neighborhood of Shiraz, leading to her death. She was dearly loved by hundreds of her young students. Her body was subsequently buried under heavy security measures in the village of Qalat, also in Shiraz.
