Ghazal Janqorban was a 15-year-old computer studies student and the only child of her family, residing in Isfahan. She was known as a true hero of the homeland.
On the evening of January 9, 2026, Ghazal was participating in popular protests near Zayandeh Rud in Isfahan alongside her parents. During the protests, she was shot from behind with three live bullets, hitting her leg, kidney, and lung. She was rushed to Oskouiyeh Hospital, the same hospital where she was born, but tragically succumbed to her injuries. Following her death, she became known as the "Daughter of Zayandeh Rud."
