Story

Mohsen Rashidi Khaniabadi, a 42-year-old man of Bakhtiari origin, was killed on January 9, 2026, in Baharestan, Isfahan. He sustained two gunshot wounds to his leg and side from military bullets fired by repressive forces. According to witnesses, he died due to severe bleeding.

Mohsen was a devoted father to a 4-year-old daughter and two adopted daughters, aged 19 and 20, whom he had raised as his own children since their youth. He had a deep passion for music, design, calligraphy, and poetry, and was known for consistently advocating against oppression.

During the intense shootings on January 9, when he was advised to retreat, Mohsen famously responded, "My honor does not allow me to leave the 2000s generation children alone." As he left his home that day, he bid farewell to his wife and mother, telling them, "Goodbye, perhaps this is our last meeting."
