Arash Yazdani, a 27-year-old Snapp driver and head of his household, was killed on January 8, 2026.
On Thursday evening, around midnight, in the Haft-Hoz/Narmak area of Tehran, Arash Yazdani Hemmatabadi was shot by suppressors while attempting to help a girl who had been wounded by gunfire. Three combat bullets struck his kidney, back, and side. Following the shooting, he was taken to a hospital for resuscitation, but these efforts were unsuccessful.
His body was subsequently transferred to the Kahrizak morgue. His family faced considerable difficulty in retrieving his body, eventually receiving it on January 10, 2026. His funeral and ceremony were held on January 10, 2026, under extremely tight security, with numerous officers and agents present around his home. His family was also pressured to refrain from any public disclosure about the details of the ceremony.
A memorial frame containing his belongings was later created by his family.
