Aydin Samaaei was 22 years old when he was killed. He was born in 1382 (Jalali calendar).
He was shot in the back of his leg and subsequently transferred to a hospital. His family was later compelled to accept that he had been shot twice, once in the back of the leg and again in the chest. Following threats, his family was forced to identify him as a member of the Basij.
