Abedin Heydarpour was born on August 24, 1971. He was the son of Esmaeil and resided in Laleh Rood village, a تابع of Roudsar city in Gilan province.
In early 1992, regime agents arrested him in Roudsar on false charges of sodomy. He spent several months in prison while his father worked to prove his innocence. The mother of the boy who was the plaintiff in the case refused to drop the charges, and consequently, Abedin was unjustly sentenced to stoning.
His father made every effort to prove his innocence, traveling to Tehran and eventually, with great difficulty and persistence, managed to obtain an acquittal. Abedin had been acquitted and could have been saved from death.
However, on August 11, 1992, regime agents abruptly took him to Bagh-e Rezvan in Roudsar, without even allowing him a final visit with his parents, and killed him in the most brutal and merciless way. They stoned him, throwing so many stones at him that his head was completely crushed, and he died in agony.
His father, unaware of what had happened, arrived in Roudsar with the acquittal in hand, but by the time he reached the prison to free him, several hours had passed since Abedin's brutal killing. His lifeless body was innocently laid to rest in Golzar-e Shohada in Roudsar.
Some time after Abedin's death, the mother of the boy who had accused him of sodomy and had refused to drop the charges, died in an accident where her head was crushed, just like Abedin's. Neighbors said this happened because Abedin was innocent. Abedin's grieving mother passed away twenty-three years after his stoning, and his father died some time later.
