Artin Khajavinia, a 16-year-old child from Qaleh Hasan Khan (Shahr-e Qods) and a computer science student, on Thursday January 8, 2026 died from a direct shot of live ammunition by government suppressive forces during popular protests in front of the governorate of the same city.
Artin Khajavinia's body was handed over to his family five days later, on Tuesday January 13, 2026, and was buried in Imamzadeh Abolhasan Cemetery in Shahr-e Qods. His fortieth-day ceremony was also held. Asal Khajavi, Artin's sister, published a video of herself at her brother's grave and wrote: “But you were only 16… We will be sad for you forever, brave boy.” His friends and classmates also laid flowers on his grave amidst the tears and cries of his parents.
