On January 10, 2026, at 8:30 PM, while Alireza Mousavi was alone on Basirat Street in Fooladshahr, Isfahan, a motorcyclist approached him. He sat on the ground, pulled his jacket hood over his head, and said: “Please, for God's sake, don't shoot.” The attackers placed the weapon on his back and shot him. 50 pellets entered his body, spinal cord, and heart, and he died instantly from bleeding. Reports indicate that Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces shot him.
His body was handed over on January 16, 2026 and buried under security measures.
