Behnam Khajavinia, a 20-year-old student, was originally from Dezful and had migrated to Dehagh, Isfahan, for work. He died on January 9, 2026 during the Lion and Sun Revolution of Iran in Isfahan. Reports indicate that Islamic Republic regime forces killed him on the spot by directly firing a live bullet to his head.
After his death, his family was told to bring his birth certificate and other documents to receive his body. However, by the time the family returned, his body had been transferred to Najafabad. Then, 700 million Tomans were demanded from his family for the release of the body. His mother was forced to obtain a sworn statement from local residents confirming her inability to pay this amount. His body was finally handed over to his family after six days, late at night.
