Abolfazl Bakhtiarpour Duraki, a 19-year-old student, was a resident of Isfahan and a member of the large Bakhtiari tribe, specifically the Duraki branch and Zerasvand clan.
He was killed on January 10, 2026, on Darvish Street in Isfahan, by gunfire from government forces. Reports indicate that his family, fearing that authorities would seize his body, kept his corpse on ice overnight. The following day, January 11, 2026, Abolfazl's body was secretly transported to his paternal village, Durak Shapuri (also known as Anari), in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, where he was laid to rest.
At his burial, attendees chanted slogans such as “Death to Khamenei” and “Curse Khomeini.” On February 10, 2026, his mother held a birthday celebration at his grave.
