Abbas Keshavarz Lafmajani was killed by the forces of the Islamic Republic on January 9, 2026. According to his friend's account, he had also participated in the protests in Rasht the previous night, January 8, where he was hit by shotgun pellets, treating his wounds himself at home. On the night of the 9th, agents of the Islamic Republic cornered him in an alley and shot him with live ammunition.
According to an eyewitness, his last words before his death were: "Don't shoot, I have a young child." The same eyewitness, who was a member of the medical staff, attempted to save him and even managed to transfer him to the hospital. However, due to the tight security atmosphere at the hospital and a lack of medical attention, he passed away.
