Azar Nasirpour, a 52-year-old mother of two, was from Lasht-e Nesha, Gilan province.
On the 18th of Dey (January 8, 2026), during the nationwide uprising of the people of Iran, Azar Nasirpour was severely wounded in Saadi Street, Rasht. She was shot from behind in the leg by a direct shot of live ammunition from security forces.
The heavy bleeding from her injuries led to her immediate transfer to the hospital. However, due to severe bleeding and the prevention of timely transfer to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries in the early morning of the 19th of Dey (January 9, 2026).
Her name will live on in the collective memory of the Iranian nation as a victim of an organized crime against humanity.
