Amin Kianpour was born on September 13, 1986. He was an engineer at a pipe rolling company and was married, though he had no children. He was the brother of Adel Kianpour.
On August 16, 2022, which coincided with his brother Adel's birthday, Amin visited Adel's grave alone. He was deeply distressed by his brother's death and had reportedly vowed to seek revenge against the intelligence and IRGC agents he believed were responsible for fabricating a case against Adel. While he was at the family cemetery in Bahram Abad village, near Masjed Soleyman, security forces surrounded the area. They opened fire on Amin, hitting him in the hand and head. Amin Kianpour died at the scene, next to his brother's grave.
Amin was buried next to his brother Adel. The marks of two bullets are still visible on the wall of the covered prayer room at the cemetery, outlining the exact spot where Amin was shot.
